Donate an RV, ADU or other Lodging to a Seattle Children’s family in need

Sharing is caring!

Right now, there are families at Seattle Children’s who are desperately trying to help a sick child. They may have temporary lodging at a hotel, or be waiting for longer term housing which can have long wait lists. As a partner Guild of Seattle Children’s, Housing Solutions for Hope is trying to locate additional longer term housing opportunities in the area. We are looking for anything from RV donations to donations of time in a property you own or build, which can be tax deductible for a good cause. This can include mother in law apartments, basement units, spare rental apartments or condos and ADUs.

ADUs are small secondary dwelling units inside, attached to, or in the rear yard of a single- family house. An attached ADU (AADU), often called an in-law unit or basement apartment, is contained within or attached to a single- family house. A detached ADU (DADU), often called a backyard cottage, is a separate structure allowed in the rear yard of certain single-family-zoned lots. DADUs can be new structures or created through conversion of an existing structure, like a garage.
